From me anyways…
Our Easter celebrations are beginning! We are pasteled and bunnied and peeped and chicked out. I love Easter…and for us as Catholics this is our big holiday-even though it may not seem that way. This is the final match! This is the day the promise was fulfilled and the gates of Heaven were opened. It’s amazing really.
This year Rowan and I are hosting a Toddler Easter party. It has always been about the moments as I call them. Moments to remember. My friends know I’m all about making memories and not missing a thing. We worked really hard to get Row here and we are not missing out.
Our party will consist of fun Mama times and playtime with snacks, a visit from the Bunny and an egg hunt. I wanted to make something cute and easy so I scoured Pinterest and then I found cute bunny tutus. I changed it up a bit by making them no sew tutus-because EASY!
Supplies-
Tulle-I chose pink.
Elastic
Large White Pom Pom
I love using the smaller size tulle on a spool for tutus and gifts because it’s precut and easy. Measure your toddlers waist with the elastic, cut and tie. Cut a ton of tulle-I actually ended up using the entire spool.I don’t measure as I cut I just wing it.
I found something in the house to stretch out and hold my elastic in place and then simply start knotting.
Once complete and full you can trim any extra long pieces. Hot glue the pom pom on the back to create the tail effect and bam Little Bunny Foo Foo.
So easy and cute. Row loved it and decided to twirl in it for evening entertainment.
It’s Friday my peeps! That means finding a bunch of favorite things…and I’m hopping on board the girls over at Momfessional’s linky party!
Speaking of favorite things. My Dad called me last night from his spring break in the woods. Apparently they were watching tv in their camper and he tuned into a special on the Sound of Music. Now someone may or may not have been obsessed with that movie as a ten year old. Someone may or may not have watched it everyday on VHS until someone uhem accidentally taped over it. Parenting….. I thought it was so sweet that 1. He remembered. 2. He called and told me to run upstairs and turn it on. Definitely a favorite! It was with Diane Sawyer if you need to find it and you do.
First up-well second up Easter! I love the pastels and peeps…more to come on this….
This thing….it’s meant to be a candle holder. It’s one of those remakes of an antique sugar mold but look-it’s a utensil holder-LOVE! One of my many finds from Canton, Tx trade days. Honestly if you leave anywhere near this place you should go. I have people ask me all the time where things in my house came from and most of the time they’re from Canton.
So I shall add Canton to my list. Follow this link and try to make a trip. My BFF Laura is flying down to go this spring since we went last spring. Girl time.
Oh and my other BFF Maria we go in the Fall. You’ll get used to this. I have roughly 5 yes 5 BFF’s. I also have a million other people who I just adore.
Oh and my BFF’s are my favs too!
Happy Friday BFF readers!
