It’s getting closer to the big day and as that day approaches I find myself scurrying along to get the things I had on my list to do this year done!
I usually pick out one new decorating project a year for the house and this year I really really wanted to make an outside garland for our door. Yes I know I am totally Type A.
I honestly didn’t think it was going to happen and started to get overwhelmed. Then I decided to make the easiest garland ever and poof it was done in less than 20 minutes. Seriously it’s been harder keeping the garland attached to my door than actually making it!
I ran out to the craft store and grabbed three strands of outdoor lighted garland and three spools of regular burlap ribbon-the non wired kind. I guesstimated and cut the ribbon into roughly 8-10 inch strips, tied in knots intermittently around the garland and then done!
I really wanted the garland to have burlap because well I have a thing for burlap and the wreath I made last year was burlap too! Yes I watch too much Fixer Upper and have a thing for French Country/Contemporary styling-is that a thing? The garland went perfect with our theme and was a great addition to our other new addition-laser lights!
Do you see those green and red sprinkles on our lawn? The best thins ever. Our house looks like a sprinkle cookie!
I hope you’re getting in all you fun Christmas things and enjoying every moment.
