Harwood Hill Motel Vermont

October 17, 2019 By Callie 1 Comment

Harwood Hill Motel in Bennington,Vermont is an adorable cottage like motel in the adorable bustling town of Bennington.

Welcome!

Harwood boasts suites and deluxe rooms filled with art and surrounded by the “Million Dollar View” including mountains and the Bennington Battle Monument. The rooms are quite spacious and we were so happy to be staying in our room across the street from an apple orchard with easy in and out parking.

Spacious Two Bedroom Rooms
Plenty of room
Updated bathrooms

Harwood also has a covered gazebo, play area, hammocks and a more than friendly staff that will help you get anywhere you need to go or give recommendations. Harwood also offers a continental breakfast in the office daily and wifi included.

Check out that view

Harwood is located close to many attractions in Bennington including the Battle Monument, covered bridges, Frost Stone House and plenty of local restaurants. Downtown is a quick drive away as well. Definitely plan to spend a day or two seeing the town.

Harwood is the perfect motel if you’re looking to save money but still stay in the action. The rates are extremely reasonable while still giving you a small town Vermont feel.

Our own little porch

If you’re traveling during fall foliage -which you should-I recommend booking at least 6 months before travel since rooms book up. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive up to Burlington and the drive up is breathtaking. Fall foliage in Vermont should absolutely be on your travel bucket list-you won’t be sorry.

Disney’s All Star Music Resort

October 3, 2019 By Callie Leave a Comment

Disney’s All Star Music Resort (Music) is located at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and is one of the three All Star value resorts. Music is located in the Animal Kingdom section of Disney. Music offers guests and families an affordable option when staying at Disney World.

The Rock Section

Music is themed after a variety of different music genres and each section is themed accordingly. Calypso is the area closest to the main pool and eating area followed by Jazz Inn,Rock Inn, Country Fair and Broadway Hotel. Each section is themed with oversized decorations unique to that music genre.

Jazz Inn

Music is considered a value resort and their rooms consist of double beds and standard bathrooms with plenty of rooms for families. Music also offers families the option of a family suite. The family suites can fit a family of 6 with a kitchenette as well. Each room contains a mini fridge for use during your stay.

Music’s layout is quite nice and well laid out. It’s easy to get to where you are going with two main pools laid out in the middle of the resort for easy access. The dining area is located in the front of the resort in Melody Hall which contains check in/guest services, the Intermission food court and Maestro Mickey’s which is the resorts shopping area. Buses to and from Disney parks are located directly in front of Melody Hall. Our family found the walk short, in fact much shorter than many moderate resorts at WDW to get from place to place.

Don’t forget to grab your souvenirs and snacks.

The pools are of course the main highlight of this resort. The main pool is right off the Calypso section and has a Three Caballeros water feature. The second pool is the Piano Pool which is located right in the middle of Rock, Country and Broadway resort sections. This pool is smaller and often quieter.

The Piano Pool

Music is filled with fun family activities throughout the week so make sure you check guest services for activities from dance parties and games at the pool to Food Truck Fridays and don’t forget to hit up the arcade! There is also a playground, movies under the stars and jogging trail available.

So many fun games at the arcade.

Music is a great and affordable option for families wanting to travel to Disney world while staying within the resort.

Want to find out how you can book a magical trip to this resort? You can find me on Facebook at Callie at Wanderkeep Travel or email me at callie@wanderkeep.com and as always my services are complimentary.

Disney Cruise Line Verandah Rooms

September 12, 2019 By Callie Leave a Comment

Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of room options on their ships! Let’s take a look at the most popular Verandah rooms and what you can expect when staying in one.

Verandah rooms are rooms lined on either side of the ship that sleep up to four and have a balcony. Upon entering your room with your Key to the World room card you will find a queen size bed, couch and doorway to your verandah (balcony).

The couch is actually a fold away bed which mousekeeping (your house keeping staff) will turn down in the evening. The fourth bed is located in the ceiling and can be manually turned down by mousekepping with their lock key. The foldaway beds are both twin size and can hold up to 250 pounds so adults can sleep there too!.

Your private balcony comes with two deck chairs and a table.

The bathrooms are located at the front of the room and Disney has separated the toilet from the shower so both can be in use at the same time! This is such a great feature when traveling with several guests. There are two closets which also store your life jackets and your safe.

The room also has a television, mini fridge and lots of storage in the living area. The rooms are surprisingly big considering it’s a cruise. Verandah rooms can also be booked with attached rooms but make sure you ask when booking since not all rooms have the option of connecting.

Have questions or need help booking your Disney Cruise? Feel free to message me at Callie@Fairygodmothertravel.com of find me on Facebook at Callie at Fairy Godmother Travel. Another perk of booking a Disney Cruise with me is also an onboard credit! Just ask me for details!
