Living with a Threenager

It happened my precious baby big girl turned 3 this past weekend. Our friends and family braved the rain from Patricia and swam on over to celebrate. It was tough going because I had planned on having lots of outside activities to keep those roaring toddlers busy but all the Mamas held down the fort. I would like to tell you the Daddies did too-but this is what the Daddies did…

We decided to have a Daniel Tiger birthday since our girl adores him! Grandma got Row a custom made Daniel dress for twirling. After Row gets dressed she likes to put her shoes and socks on and tell us it’s time to go “gotta go” in fact.Photobomb-Lola the Pug

We celebrated by eating Daniel’s unsmooshed tiger cake-I did not make this one. I usually make all of our cakes but I am more of a buttercream simplest when it comes to cakes. I bought all the stuff for this particular cake and contemplated making it for a good three weeks but then once I looked at our October month of travel craziness I opted to have a local baker make it and she did a fabulous job. It was so worth it! We had tiger tails-pretzels dipped, mud pies, cupcakes, fruits and veggies and tiger juice. Oh and my dear friend Jennifer let us borrow her awesome handmade trolley.

Hubs and I have started a birthday book for Row. Every year we write on a note card things we remember for the year-one from each of us and I put them in her birthday book for down the road. I also take a picture of her with all her gifts from that year. Mainly because I think it’ll be cool for her to see later on. I wish I had seen all those cool 80’s toys I got!

I have created a Disney monster and we kind of love play dough! As the girls in my play date say-Callie loves a good party! Here’s to another magical year.

7- Day Switch Up with Viva® Vantage® Paper Towels

Viva® Vantage® towels are known for their super stretchy characteristic. I was a bit skeptical. I mean come on stretchy? I opened the package and stretched and was happily surprised the paper towels were soft and stretchy. Then I wondered are they really that  stretchy-strong.

That’s when this happened….

And the Viva® Vantage® towels lasted, wet, for a long time-actually the whole time. No tears, nothing! I tried it at home too. Then the strangest thing…..I put the paper towel on the sink to dry and an hour later used it gasp-again!

So I started thinking and chatting with my other bloggy friends about other ways I could use Viva® Vantage®. They absorb-right so this morning for Row’s birthday breakfast we had bacon. That girl loves bacon! She can literally eat the entire package. I used our Viva® to blot the grease because of their sponge-like absorbancy.

Oh and before her party this weekend I wet some Viva®, dabbed a  little soap on it and spot cleaned our tile floors-yep. I mini mopped the floors with those paper towels because they stretch to scrub-well one actually I ONLY needed one!

I had never even though of that one. Oh and did you know you could pull off a towel, snap them onto your mop-you know the ones with the throw away pads and mop your floor. Mind blown.

This evening we were having tacos! Living in the south it’s so nice to have fresh tortillas. The hard part is how hard they get after storing them in the fridge. I can easily steam my tortillas so they’re soft using Viva® Towels. Simply wet, wring out excess water, wrap the tortillas and microwave for 30 seconds. Presto-awesome tortillas!
