Saving Money with Groupon Coupons

May 26, 2016 By Callie Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Groupon Coupons but all money saving opinions are entirely mine.

So the hubs and I had a conversation….it was about our budget. I mean the man is a budgeting genius. We set family goals every January which includes family travel. Each of us get to pick a place to go and we-I -try and make it happen. I have this family goal of every state by the time Row is done with high school as well as a national park a year and of course Disney every single year.

So with that being said I am always looking for deals. Now I know everyone knows about the awesome Groupon deals but did you know Groupon has coupons???? It’s called Groupon Coupons That’s right coupons for purchasing online at no extra cost!

I went straight to their site and found out you can save on places like :

*Hertz-perfect for traveling this summer!

*Office Depot

*Kohls

*Target

*Barnes and Noble

There are so many stores you can quick search alphabetically! Once you click on a store it will bring up every online coupon code currently being offered. They have done all the work for you. Not only can you save money but you can save time. I know with having a little in the house time is money and I love saving on places I already shop at! That’s the best!

Another great feature…you can click on the store you want to shop at through their directory and up pops all the current deals-check out this one for Kohls.

True savings isn’t getting things on sale. True savings is saving money on things you already needed! Groupon coupons does just that!

Oh and you can guess where my extra money will be going! You get a vacation, and you get a vacation, and you get a vacation!

5 Things to Know About Magnolia Market

April 18, 2016 By Callie Leave a Comment

Waco,Texas

Have you dreamed of visiting Magnolia Market since the day you saw Chip and Joanna sit in the downtrodden lot and dream about buying the silos? Is Fixer Upper your inspiration for everything in your house? You’re not alone!

I was oh so lucky to get to go to Magnolia Market while my bestie was in town! Now everyone I run into wants to now all about it so…

5 Things to Know About Magnolia Market-

  1. Yes it is as adorable as it looks on TV.  It is clear Joanna put her mark on every single square inch and little detail of the entire place. From the tables in the open area, to the garden area it is clearly Joanna. Things have gotten big for the Gaines Family but that doesn’t mean they don’t pay attention to the details.
  2. Parking can be crazy-Drive around a bit because there is not any designated parking for the Silos and it’s super close to the downtown area. I recommend driving around to the back side of the silos-much more parking there and just a small walk.
  3. Bring some a lot of money. Things are cute but things aren’t cheap. I recommend looking at their website before going and getting price points. There are many many things at the store that they do not carry online and yes you will want them so make sure you plan and budget ahead.
  4. Shop first, eat second. I had no idea there would be adorable food trucks inside the Silos property-everything from coffee and smoothies to crepes and sandwiches. The best part…..if you decide to shop in Magnolia Market there’s a coupon at the bottom of your receipt which can be used at each food truck. Score!
  5. It’s BUSY-BUSY! We went during the week and it was like we were sardines in there. I honestly thought it would be less crowded since we were there just after opening during the week-wrong. Apparently Saturdays are the worst-oh and not open on Sundays and Thursdays are the best but expect a crowd. The good news is they have lots of inventory.

IMG_2815Notice how in the panic of finding my Magnolia wreath the only pic I took inside had my thumb in it 🙂

It was about 2.5 hours from the Houston area and even though it was a drive it was worth it! Especially if you heart Joanna. Save that money and get yourself a Magnolia wreath!

What would you buy????

Lipstick Painting

May 21, 2015 By Callie Leave a Comment

It has been raining, raining, raining here and my girl wants nothing more than to go outside and play. It’s been rough trying to keep her and me couped up. I did manage to make a Dollar Store trip last week and snagged a couple of things.

I decided to pull some things out of the fun closet and let her have some fun.

Supplies-

3- dollar lipsticks of differing shades

1-page of aluminum foil

1-high lipped cookie sheet

I simply lined the cookie sheet with foil. The foil gave an added sensory touch to this messy fun. The high lipped cookie sheet really comes in handy. Nothing got on the table. I undid each of the lipsticks, modeled drawing with them and set her loose. Row adored this.

Cleanup was minimal. I plopped her in the sink. I honestly thought it was going to take forever to get the lipstick off her hands and that they would be dyed for a good week. It came off rather easily. Anything that didn’t come off quickly I ran a paper towel with some rubbing alcohol over and it cleaned it off quickly. Just check little fingers for tiny boo boos before using.

I’m always amazed how the simplest things make her happy. I strive to be more like that.

I’m always looking for quick and inexpensive fun things for my toddler. How about you? Have any ideas? I’d love to hear them!
