I have this place….and in it I keep my collections. Ahhh the beautiful paper! Ribbon as far as the eye can see. In it I build I create….I share it with the man. On my side of the room are two beautiful tables rescued from a life of garage sales. My beautiful cascading ribbon collection stares at me. My hope of a year full by weekly photos and Project Life cards neatly crammed, filed and placed. Yeah right-well sort of. You saw my ribbon post! I’m not even going to talk to you about the closet or the problem I have with wrapping paper. So pretty!
So I love washi tape. I mean I love it. I’ve loved it for years. Before it became cool. Back when I had to order that stuff from Japan or Hawaii because those were the only people making it. And now-well scotch tape makes it. You get my problem. I have it, a lot and I want to be able to use it easily and pretty much all the time. At the beginning of the year I also began my Project Life album. Project Life is a super easy way of nonscrapbooking scrap booking in which you slide adorable cards into your album along with pictures and journals. I chose to do a weekly events one this year. I have like a whole month done people! I’ll show you my goods in another post. I was in a pickle. I have a lot of washi tape.
I had already bought one of those cute washi organizers but it was overflowing. I can’t remember where I found this post-no doubt it was pinterest…and if this was your idea thank you. I need an organizer that was more open but cheap. Have you heard of Harbor Freight Tools? Yep me neither…turns out we have one in town. So I bought this. It was ugly but I had a vision.
I took that thing and I spray painted it…it took forever. Spray painting a million pieces during intervals of nap time is one way to turn a simple hour project into a week long project but I held in there. And then this was born!
And I was in love! This was $19-seriously! It rotates too!!!!! I bought paint as well and there were like a million nuts and bolts but I am so in love with it and look-you can see my washi!!!!! That’s not all of it…and now I can buy more.
If you don’t have a Harbor Freight by you they have an online store!!! The link is in this post! What’s your craft obsession?
