I know your heart. For I have been where you are. Some days I still am. You sit alone hoping, waiting, wanting, trying, fighting and for now it may not be to be.

To the mother who has lost a child. You are a mother….you were…you are..you will be. You are not forsaken or forgotten. The gift is still there, inside your heart. My heart is with you and your strength and courage. For some days there is no strength and courage and that’s okay too.

To the mother who carried her child but never held them in her arms. You are a mother…you were…you are…you will be. I have known this pain. The pain of the forgotten. Your child was and is real. The life precious. The honor of carrying them was yours. You were strong enough to act as a vessel for life. You were strong enough to let your child go. To be with Him. You are not forsaken or forgotten.

To the mother who has never been pregnant. You are a mother…you were…you will be. The loneliness of trying for a child month to month. Your heart calls out to be a mother. The sadness of watching others walk the path you’re desperate to walk. You’re brave and strong.

To the mother who aborted her child. You are a mother…you were…you will be.  May your heart be healed. May you be filled with hope and forgiveness.

You see Mothers come in all forms. We never truly know what another person is going through or has been through. I live in knowing the promise that life goes on. That I am in this world but not of it. My struggle is not in vain. May we stand beside one another. Understand one another. Think of one another.
