We are a Disney family. Okay well my husband is by marriage not by choice but he deals with it the best he can. One of the things I love about Disney World is the feeling-being there changes you and it’s such a gift to go. It was a gift going as an adult without children and reliving all of what is childhood and also being able to appreciate all the adult things WDW has to offer. Now as a parent I adore watching WDW through Row’s eyes and creating memories.
Disney has a ton of fun activities to do while at the park and one of them is pin trading. I myself have never been into pin trading-mainly because I bought a pin I liked and then I swapped it????? Now I’m sure as Row gets older she may want to trade but for now we pick special pins to commemorate our trip.
I found these amazing boards on Etsy! Simple and effective! They’re cork board! I also like them because while I love being at Disney World I don’t love having Disney stuff all over my house-except for Row’s toys of course.
Here’s a close up of how we collect.
Each section tells a story of our trip that year. We grab the year pin, the hotel we stayed at, any special events and then I let Row pic one. I can easily look back and see what awesome things we did that year and so can she.
So for example in 2015 we stayed at The Wilderness Lodge, we attended the Food and Wine Festival, The Halloween Party and that Minnie was Row’s choice.
It’s a great way to collect items while you’re in the park, hang onto those memories and bring a little Disney home!!!
