I am always on the lookout for fun and FREE apps for toddlers. I want Row, now that she’s two to have the opportunity to learn how to navigate a tablet and phone since these are basic skills in everyday life today. I want to monitor and limit the amount of time she’s on devices but also provide genuine good experiences for her. I had the opportunity to try out two new apps for toddlers and preschoolers and will be adding them to my list of approved Row apps. I’ve included links to each of the apps on this page! Just click below the picture.
The Preschool app has eye catching graphics and Row loved the transitioning tunes. My favorite part was the letter tracing activity that taught correct letter formation and allowed the preschooler to write on the tablet or phone with their finger. This app was definitely more geared for children ages three and up. It has rhyming games, which are great for pre reading,as well as fun mazes which are great for building pre writing skills.

The Montessori app was geared more towards storytelling and is great for toddlers and preschoolers. The great thing about this app is you can easily use it when sitting in a doctors office or a similar setting. The app has the same catchy graphics and tunes as the previous app but reads classic stories.
