Today’s weekend wrap up is brought to you by the letter P for P-A-R-T-Y. This weekend was chocked full of parties!!!!! My little bitty baby Row turned the big 2 on Saturday and we were lucky enough to have her party the same day. Up until now we’ve been doing the everybody party. We have been so blessed to come know and love so many other Mamas and their babies that next year I’ve decided to do a family hang out and then a baby party on different dates.
This year our theme was Bake Sale birthday. I will be sharing all the recipes and party ideas throughout the week!
I was surprised and how stress-less this party was. Seems like the first year you have no clue and run around crazy and year two strolls on by and it’s all good. The only draw back of the bake sale birthday was that the birthday table was filled with goodies I needed to bake. I ended up running off a baking lesson plan and broke everything I needed to bake and make into daily goals. Yep I’m a teacher like that. I lesson plan everything. It’s a sickness. Hubs did get the bake sale stand made!!!!! So cute!
One of the easiest things I made for the party were Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels.
Ingredients-
Half a bag of small pretzels
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix everything together in a bowl. I really thought the mixture didn’t stick very well on the pretzels while mixing but have faith it does. Preheat the oven to 425. Prep a cookie sheet by layering with wax/parchment paper. Spread pretzels out as close to a single layer as you can. Poor remaining mixture from the bowl over the pretzels. Cook for 20 minutes. Stir/flip during the half way mark.
Easy Peasy and Delish! I popped this into an apothecary jar and bam done!
The rest of the weekend we stopped by the annual Nelson’s Water Garden Halloween Party. It was a blasty blast. Grandma was working in a witch hat! We dressed in our Halloween best and saw lots of littles in costumes. They provided hot dogs, brick oven pizza, and tacos. We also got to listen to live music, feed those giant Koi and we did previously and eat some roasted marshmallows. It’s always fun to go there and they even had it decked out for Halloween. You should totally stop and feel the serenity of you get a chance.
The next day was Row’s best friends E’s birthday. Our girls have the exact same birthday-how cool is that? Mama M and I both prayed for friendship for our girls and ourselves before we started our mommy Ibloom group. Although we were not placed in small group together we did end up meeting again at Kindermusik with Miss Kathy! Our friendship stuck and we are pretty much twins. E’s birthday was a strawberry shortcake bash complete with princess jumpy house. Now if you’ve never seen babies in a bounce house you’ve never felt joy!
How was your weekend…….?Ready for Halloweenie!
