Here are mine!

Cutest kitchen towel! I mean it looks like a chalkboard so I pretty much had to get it. I scored this one with my girl Laura during our Canton trip…..I’m already thinking about the next one.

Next up….

I am a Texan……with a whole bunch of Massachusetts in me. It’s an odd combination I know….makes for awesomeness. Dr. Pepper or as all good Texans call it DP is in our blood. I could drink it all day long if it wasn’t for not wanting to be a diabetic. It’s the reason I’m chubby-that and queso!!!!!

I am such a Disney geek! You wouldn’t know it if you came into our house because I don’t have a lot of Disney things. This here is a popcorn bucket. Yes it’s in the shape of a Mickey balloon. The parks always have super cool ones. But this one…this one…was only out this year in Disney Land and I needed it Row needed something to eat her popcorn from. I actually got it on ebay-yep…..I needed it that bad. Happy Birthday Disney Land! Eek I love it!

What are some of your favorites?

I Know Row’s-BOOTS!!!!

Friday Favorites

May 15, 2015 By Callie Leave a Comment

It’s Friday already! I’m joining the gang over at Mompfessionals for their Friday favorites linky party. Hop on over and find out all the fun things people heart heart.

I love the rain-but not when it torrential downpours on and off again for an entire week. Row needs the park-bad and she reminds me about this my knocking on the door and screaming-it’s been real fun for all involved.

First up is this wooden cake stand I scored in Canton. It is in fact one of the things I had on my list of items to find. My bestie Laura was not letting me leave without finding it. She did. It was exactly as I had pictured it in my head. Now I’m using it for fruit!

Yes that is totally a caboodle next to it-I love the 80’s…I can’t help it! I soooo know you’re jealous.

This height ruler! Once I began pinteresting my house this ruler was top on my list of things to get. I ordered it off of etsy and it surprisingly made it in one piece. We had to make allowance for the baseboards when hanging it which irks my Type A personality but I adore it.

Notice I’m basically a midget.

I also want to briefly acknowledge how bad this picture is-due to the blurriness which I totally blame on the rain-see it out there-see it?

Last but not least this sweet silhouette. Ahhh I so adore it. The artist literally cut this from black paper in front of my eyes in less than five minutes and it exactly looks like Row. He was amazing.

How’s your week been? What are your favorites?

Canton Trade Days

May 5, 2015 By Callie Leave a Comment

Where the heck have I been???? I mentioned previously that my bestie Laura was flying in from Massachusetts for a visit! Well she did and as soon as she was here and we shoveled some Lupe Tortilla in our mouths we were off on our girls road trip to Canton.

Now for anyone not in Texas-Canton Trade Days are a monthly event in Canton, Texas that run from Thursday-Sunday-also call first Monday. Canton has set up land with covered and uncovered goods selling everything. I mean everything from things you’d see at a craft show to a fruit stand to a garage sale to a boutique. It’s crazy.

Now I have taken this trip several times. Anytime anyone is in our home and asks where I bought something it’s usually from Canton. I love the deals and the uniqueness of everything.

I have scored clothes for myself, Row and gifts for anyone in between. It’s quite the experience.

This was the first time we really stopped to see exactly how big this place was. I usually stay thirty minutes away and go to Canton one whole day. Book your trip about five months in advance-no joke. Laura and I reevaluated this idea after my other best girl Maria and I visited Canton in the Fall. We opted for a two night trip this time.

I must give a shout out to hubs and Grandma because they both agreed to help out. Honestly hubs did amazing and Grandma kept the place clean.

Our trip was amazing and exhausting!

We had our extra long corn dogs and fried pies.

We filled our cart-oh and btw if you go immediately buy a cart when you walk in or you will regret it. This was our cart pretty much as soon as we started shopping.

It's almost full and I have lost Laura in a see of tank tops. #canton #ipersonalizeeverything

We took pictures to show the hubs what we were doing.

We took pics of our loot-this was only day 1 people. Sidenote-this is a picture of both of our finds-whew.

The loot!

The loot!

Oh and we forgot to fill up our gas tank on the way home. Might I mention there is nothing but country roads from here to there and I was literally praying pretty heavily while Laura coasted into a country store gas station. When you ask Siri where the closest gas station is after your gas gauge has dinged and she says 25 miles it’s pretty tough.

We made it!

That time we almost ran out of gas down Texas chainsaw like country roads. #good times
