Where the heck have I been???? I mentioned previously that my bestie Laura was flying in from Massachusetts for a visit! Well she did and as soon as she was here and we shoveled some Lupe Tortilla in our mouths we were off on our girls road trip to Canton.
Now for anyone not in Texas-Canton Trade Days are a monthly event in Canton, Texas that run from Thursday-Sunday-also call first Monday. Canton has set up land with covered and uncovered goods selling everything. I mean everything from things you’d see at a craft show to a fruit stand to a garage sale to a boutique. It’s crazy.
Now I have taken this trip several times. Anytime anyone is in our home and asks where I bought something it’s usually from Canton. I love the deals and the uniqueness of everything.
I have scored clothes for myself, Row and gifts for anyone in between. It’s quite the experience.
This was the first time we really stopped to see exactly how big this place was. I usually stay thirty minutes away and go to Canton one whole day. Book your trip about five months in advance-no joke. Laura and I reevaluated this idea after my other best girl Maria and I visited Canton in the Fall. We opted for a two night trip this time.
I must give a shout out to hubs and Grandma because they both agreed to help out. Honestly hubs did amazing and Grandma kept the place clean.
Our trip was amazing and exhausting!
We had our extra long corn dogs and fried pies.
We filled our cart-oh and btw if you go immediately buy a cart when you walk in or you will regret it. This was our cart pretty much as soon as we started shopping.
We took pictures to show the hubs what we were doing.
We took pics of our loot-this was only day 1 people. Sidenote-this is a picture of both of our finds-whew.
Oh and we forgot to fill up our gas tank on the way home. Might I mention there is nothing but country roads from here to there and I was literally praying pretty heavily while Laura coasted into a country store gas station. When you ask Siri where the closest gas station is after your gas gauge has dinged and she says 25 miles it’s pretty tough.
We made it!
We made it!!!!
