Nutella Strawberry French Toast

January 22, 2016 By Callie Leave a Comment

I’m a sucker…for Pinterest or Facebook or Instagram try me ideas. You know the ones-you see the pin, the post, the picture and well you think I can do that I must do that. I literally have like 100 boards on Pinterest of things I must do. Enter the nutella craze.

Do you love nutella? At Walt Disney World apparently at the Sleepy Hollow quick serve the have waffles with nutella and strawberries!!! Definitely on my Disney bucket list. I’m guessing these are similar…and THEY ARE GOOD.

Ingredients:

Sliced Bread-I would say 3 pieces per person

Strawberries sliced-roughly 2 for 3 Toasts

Nutella

2 Large Eggs

Powdered Sugar

These will be made in a skillet so no preheating. Cut the crusts off your bread.

Take each slice of decrusted bread and flatten with a rolling pin or a drinking glass.

IMG_4117

Cut up your strawberries into small slices or dice if you’d like.

IMG_4115

Spread nutella over each piece of bread.

IMG_4119

Add a small layer of strawberries on top of your nutella spread.

IMG_4121

Spray your skillet with cooking spray and heat. Crack your eggs into a bowl and whisk. Roll your bread slices sushi style into a roll. Dip into the egg wash and put immediately into the skillet.

IMG_4122

I also put the opening of the bread directly onto the skillet to seal the bread. Flip twice until toasted and browned-roughly 2-3 minutes and garnish with powdered sugar.

Pretty easy and oh so yummy!

We had them for dinner because I believe firmly in breakfast for dinner.

Now if I can only find the time to make that nutella tree thingy!

Nutella Crescent Rolls Recipe

December 8, 2014 By Callie Leave a Comment

Things are pretty much sliding into an avalanche of crazy. I love it. There’s so much to do. I love having something in hand when I go somewhere or something to take next door. Nutella crescent rolls are yummy, fast, and soooo easy. I’m also a couponer so I also find deals on crescent rolls.

IMG_1361

Ingredients-

Two Regular sized rolls of crescents-but you could use the mini ones if you’d like.

Nutella

oh that’s it!

Prep and cook time roughly 20 minutes!

Roll out your crescent dough.

Spread on nutella. I’ve also had these with walnuts/ pecans chopped up. I’m more of a no nut kinda girl.

Roll back up into crescent shape.

Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees and done.

They’re so good. I told you they were easy too! I like to use a silpat for baking. They’re amazing. You don’t have to use any cooking spray and everything just slides right off. Make sure you hand wash them though.

Do you have an easy recipe to make and take? We are on our way out the door for Zoo Lights!!!!!

Oh and we’ve been reading/listening to this every night. Obsessed!

Best gift! She has been reading it over and over! Book swap success!
