All I Want For Valentine’s

February 6, 2016 By Callie

So if you read my previous post about working in Kon Maring my life then you know I’ve been having a hard time with gift giving since I started. I can generally still think of gifts for people who I know are not purging their house of stuff….and I still love giving gifts!

In this day and age where we create lists for ourselves for everything-guilty. I definitely turn to my bloggy friends out there for help with unique and fitting gifts!

So with that being said….here’s my Valentine’s Gift Giving Guide! Here’s websites for each person I have found and love, and use. I don’t get anything for sharing other than now you know what I love!

For the girls! That me, my friends, your wife, girlfriend, etc….

I have stumbled upon the Marley Lilly site and oh my monogram everything and really affordable. You can get her something nice but not spend every penny you own. Some of my favs…

Easy Valentine’s for Toddlers

January 13, 2016 By Callie 3 Comments

I can’t believe it’s right around the corner. our Christmas decorations are down with the exception of the small silver tree which is now a Valentine’s tree-boo ya-he’s not thrilled.

Time to start thinking about getting fun things together for your Valentine parties. Our play group and music class tends to shy away from candy for the littles. I personally don’t mind candy I mean it’s Valentine’s Day. I do however, try to be mindful of others and pick fun things.

Two quick and easy Valentine’s we have given and have been a big hit are these easy and inexpensive crayon sets. Check the school supply section and snag them now before they sell out. For some reason the smaller packs always sell out quickly.

It also gave mean excuse to use washi and as you can see here I need excuses!

Oh another hit was the mini play dough-in Valentine’s colors of course!

How easy is that? Let’s get this Valentine thing done! Check!

Valentine's Day up!

Valentine’s Day up!

Boy did Valentine’s Day sure sneak up on me! How about you???? We have a toddler Valentine’s party tomorrow and I was rushing to get Row’s valentine’s together and a quick treat for the Mamas and kiddos. I snuck onto pinterest and found this. Looked easy enough! I did change a couple of things 🙂

You’ll need:

Strawberry wafer cookies-these were actually hard to find-only Walmart carried them.

Vanilla meltables or baking chcolate

Sprinkles

Wax paper

Lay out your wax paper. Melt your white chocolate. I don’t use the microwave method because it never comes out the right way. I bought a double boiler. It was only 19.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond and has been so worth it. Boil your water, dump all the chocolate into the top pan. Once the water starts to boil cover immediately with the second pot containing the chocolate cover with a lid and turn the flame off. Stir as needed until chocolate is smooth.

Super important-make sure you don’t get any water in the chocolate mixture it will ruin it.

Dip the tops of the cookies in the chocolate, place on wax paper and add sprinkles immediately.

There you have it! Super easy, cute, quick, and ready for tomorrow!

We are hoping you’re having a wonderful Valentine’s Day week!
